Kiss, Kiss, Fall in Love

Nothing really going on the past few days. Kesha, my mother, and I did finally get plans for my bridal shower started. We're having it at my parents' house on June 14. We've sent out the invitations and started buying decorations. Kesha and I are going to the bakery on Monday to get cake and finger foods ordered. Yay! : D So excited.

Got another letter from Ryan today telling me how well he did on his fitness test - of course, he always wants to do better. Haha. Even though he's close to perfect already. Silly man. I love him and his unstoppable motivation. I sent him my new sidebar picture and a couple more I played around with using my new graphics tablet.

I've been doing some serious yearning for a car lately. I'm about to embark on getting my driver's license before Ryan and I get stationed somewhere, and I still really want a VW Beetle. But I also know we plan on kids so that's not the best option. Not to mention we could end up somewhere overseas or something making buying a car here completely pointless. But me being the detail oriented person I am, I have been seeing all of these cute accessories like floor mats, steering wheel covers, decals, and led tail lights that I would love to have for my car! A girl can dream.

Darling, I'll Always Be True

Got a letter today! ^_^ He was preparing for his fitness test Saturday and excited about the firing range this week. I'm sure he's done well in both areas. I have complete faith in him. The rest of the letter was his usual mushiness concerning seeing me again at his graduation. Heh. I love that boy like whoa.

Play practice again tonight, but I think I'm free now until Sunday afternoon. We ran through some scenes and a couple of songs. Nothing too crazy. Sunday will involve more Jitterbug dancing. But I'm more confident about it now, and it's started to be a lot of fun. So yay for that!

Kesha is supposed to come over tomorrow to discuss bridal shower/bachelorette party ideas and details. So that will be fun. I'm off to bed so I can get up at a decent hour to work for Dad in the morning. 'Night.

Jitterbug...The Other Way

Last night at practice not only did I change partners but I switched sides of the stage - which makes all of my steps the opposite. -_-;; But by the end of the night I had it. I switched partners because of height differences. They put me with a shorter boy so the taller girl wouldn't look strange dancing with him. Haha. But my current partner knows the dance backwards and forwards already even though yesterday was the first time he'd done it, so I think I lucked out. : D

Tonight we went through a couple of scenes and did the dance with its scene once. We did pretty well so I'm feeling confident about it now. Yay! It's really fun, too. Tomorrow we're learning the other major dance number, but I don't know if I'll have as big of a part in it since I have one in the first number. We shall see. I almost hope I do since my singing and speaking are next to none beyond group songs. Bleh.

Otherwise nothing going on. Worked for Dad a good part of the day catching up after the Memorial Day break. Practicing my dancing, singing, and lines for the play on my own time. Hoping for a letter from Ryan soon. Haven't had one since early last week. Maybe tomorrow.

Shia LaBeouf = ♥

I just got back from an early showing of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Awesomeness. I had a huge crush on Harrison Ford as a kid after watching Star Wars over and over with my little brother. Han Solo was my hero. Haha. And, of course, I often watched the original Indiana Jones films, as well. But now I had two hours of Harrison Ford and Shia LaBeouf in the same film! I'm a huge fan of Shia LaBeouf. I loved him back when he was the goofy little brother on Even Stevens. He has grown so much since then with films like Disturbia and Transformers. He rocks my socks. I can't wait to see what the future brings in his career.

More play practice tonight. I am so sore right now. I definitely need to stretch and practice some here at home before I go so I'm not stumbling all over myself and my partner - who has probably forgotten half of the steps already. Haha. Bless his heart. Hopefully he'll surprise me, and we can not look like idiots tonight. But first I must do laundry so that I have proper attire for dance practice. Meh.

Jitterbug Saturday Night

Play practice was pretty intense. I had to learn my dance backwards - turns out I'm on the opposite side of the stage than I was taught when learning the steps originally. Heh. But I've got it now; my partner was having some issues, but he hadn't had any practice until today. Considering that, I don't think we were doing too badly by the end of practice. Our group of dancers has to attend practice tomorrow to work on it a little more and learn the last couple of steps in the song. But it's starting to be a lot of fun.

I finally know that my character's name is Marion, and I am the only female solder in the entire play. My dance numbers are going to be...interesting in my lovely uniform complete with a skirt. Haha. Military women couldn't wear pants in 1942. I have to figure out how to get my hair up within military allowances for the 1940's as well. Fun, fun, fun. (I'm no longer an agent as I was told beforehand. So I'm no longer singing the song that goes with that role. But I think the awesome dance parts more than make up for it.) I can't wait until it all comes together into an entire production - and Ryan gets to see me sing and dance in uniform on stage! Haha. He'll be so proud!

Friday night my mother and I went to Johnson City for a bit of shopping and caught What Happens in Vegas with Kesha after she got off of work. The previews don't do it justice. Hilarious. See it now. I ended up going back to Johnson City yesterday with Mom and finally bought myself a graphics tablet. Nothing fancy, but enough for now until I can save up for something awesome. My dad wants to do logos and stuff for his business while I'm home, and I didn't feel like I could do it justice the old fashioned way. Heh. I've been eyeing a graphics tablet for years so it's about time. Also picked up a couple of scrapbooking embellishments and Hairspray. Love that movie times a bajillion. Also found a couple of novels at a used bookstore and a cross stitching kit of a geisha. So I've got plenty to do between all of that and the play until Ryan comes home.

Scrapbooking Like Whoa

Haven't been up to much. Just working and scrapbooking like crazy. Turns out I have a pretty hefty dance number in the play. Rehearsal last night was killer. Haha. I'm sore all over. I feel sorry for the guy who has to lift me...like three times. I fell on the choreographer once last night. -_-;; Me + Clumsiness + Jumping onto people in a dance routine = an accident waiting to happen. Haha. I felt so bad about it. Not to mention embarassed. Ugh. Oh well. What's done is done; just have to try harder from now on. I'm going to need lots of practice at home - aside from the jumping. Can't really practice that at home. ^_^;; The invisible partner can't catch me.

Insert Creative Title Here

Yesterday I went to see The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian with my mom, her friend June, my grandmother, my brother, his girlfriend, Ryan's mom, and his two younger brothers. ^_^;; It was good, but nothing grand. Afterward I went to Johnson City with Kesha to get her dress to be my maid of honor. I don't think I said anything here, but Sarah M just doesn't have the time or money to put into planning my bachelorette party or bridal shower or anything which is completely understandable. So I asked her to just remain a bridesmaid and let me give the credit to Kesha for all of the planning and help she was already willing to give. Thankfully everyone seems content with the way things are going now.

Today I worked a little over five hours for Dad and caught up some of the shows on my parents' DVR they've been saving for me while my cable was shut off during my move. I also got a letter from Ryan! He's busy but doing well. He says he needs my letters every day. ^_^ And time is flying by for him. Which is good. It's going a bit slower for me, but I'm managing. The play is going to keep me pretty busy. I finally found out that my next practice is on Thursday. Now I just need to work on memorizing my song lyrics...

I Hate Not Knowing

I was supposed to find out via e-mail when my next play practice is. The earliest could be tomorrow, and I still haven't heard a thing. Ugh. So I'm assuming there isn't any practice tomorrow. If there is, it's not my fault they didn't let me know. I have no way of contacting them about it except a cell phone, and I think it's a wee bit late to be calling people. -_-;; Not everyone stays up half the night like me. Haha. Both my grandparents and my parents will be heading to bed within the next fifteen minutes.

In better knews, yesterday was my "little" brother's high school graduation. He's my only sibling, younger than me by a year and ten months. We had a little party for him afterward with just the family and some cake. Afterward my parents took us bowling where we met up with a couple of his friends for a while. We got something to eat at Perkins before heading home around 1AM. It was fun. But my little brother is growing up. T-T I feel old already. Haha. I told Kesha about it, and she agrees with me. We always saw my brother and his friends as so much younger than us that it's weird to know they're graduating from high school and joining us in the world of college students. Heh. Time flies.

Kilroy Was Here

So that thing I mentioned earlier that I didn't want to jinx? It's a play titled Kilroy Was Here at the local theater. They weren't sure there were going to be enough actors to keep it going, but they're determined to make it work at this point. It's a muscial so I'm so excited about getting to sing and dance on stage. Stage fright is going to be insane because this is my first play ever.

The play takes place in WWII, but that's about all I know right now as I don't have a script yet. Apparently I'm an agent...whatever that means. Haha. One other girl and myself get to duke it out with the spies in one of the songs so that's exciting. ^_^ I'll find out more as I go. I do have the music and lyrics for all of the songs I'll be praticipating in, and we start rehearsing dance steps next week.

Our final performance will be the Friday after Ryan comes home so he'll get to see it! : D I'm not going to tell him about it in my letters; I want to surprise him when I go down for his graduation. But even then I'm not going to tell him what it's about; he'll find out it's about the military when he sees it. We even get to sing the Marine Corps hymn at one point! Gah! Ryan is going to be so surprised and proud. I can't wait!

Getting Settled

I received my first letter from Ryan since I've been here. When I opened the envelope a "patch" from his BDU (the camo get-up) pocket fell out, and I almost cried. T-T It was so sweet. And the letter was almost entirely mush about all of the moments he draws on memories of to keep him going when things are rough and how this experience has made him realize that if he ever lost me he wouldn't be able to go on. Meh. I love him like woah.

Finally got my grades for this past semester. An 'A' in both Japanese and Astronomy which I'm slightly surprised about seeing as I expected at least a 'B', but I'll take it and run. ^_^;; Definitely have a 'B' in Sociology after doing absolutely nothing. Haha. Awesomeness.

It's Raining

My brother took me to see Speed Racer today, which I was excited about to begin with. And then the first scene featuring Asian racer Taejo came onto the screen...and I realized immediately that it was Rain; I'd know that beautiful face anywhere. I had no idea he was going to be in the movie. Haha. So I was pleasantly surprised and spent the next two hours in wonderment everytime he came on the screen. Two whole hours of Rain's prettiness as he spoke English with his adorable Korean accent, drove a race car, and got the bad guys kung fu style. Oh yeah. So buying the DVD the second it comes out. Yay for Rain! I loved him the moment I laid eyes on him in Full House back in high school. Heh. ~♥

So I'm all settled in in Greeneville now. Not much to report at this point. I have something going on that I don't want to jinx so I'll let you know about it as I find out for sure what's happening. ^_^ In the meantime I have a letter to write to a certain wonderful fiance who loves me. Feel kind of bad about spending my day drooling over the hotness that is Rain while he's going through Hell. T-T But at least I cheered and said, "Go Honey!" when a Marine Corps commercial came on during the previews! I'm not all bad.

Moving

Got a letter from Ryan yesterday. He was fired from squad leader for being a minute late relieving someone else from fire watch, but he's not too upset about it since he will have more of his free time for himself now. He misses all the little things we used to do together and my smile. ♥~

I spent the past couple of days in Greeneville with Kesha celebrating her 20th birthday so that was fun. Like old times. Haha. Tuesday we saw Iron Man here in Knoxville before we headed to Greeneville which was fun. Good movie. Wednesday night after festivities at her house with her family and boyfriend, we were goofing around in Wal-Mart when my brother (who works nightshift there) saw me and thought he was hallucinationg...he had no idea I was even in Greeneville. XD Apparently my mom hadn't told him so he thought he was losing it when he looked up and saw me. Heh. We ended up eating with him on his break. So that was fun. ^_^ Thursday morning Kesha brought me home in time for work and all that jazz.

Today my mom came down after work. (Last day of work! Hooray!) We spent the better part of the evening packing up all the stuff in the closets. Tomorrow we have to tackle the kitchen and bathroom, but that won't be so bad. I still need to finish up reloading my CD's onto iTunes, but I think I'll work on that tomorrow night because I'm ready to head to bed.

Thoughts on Hair

So I've been trying to grow my hair back out because I was unhappy with it short. But I'm unhappy with it long, too. Ugh. I'm getting married in July, and I need to settle on something that can happen by then. Obviously it's easier to keep it short seeing as I can't magic my hair longer than it's going to be on its own. So I've been thinking I like the colors in my hair in the picture to the right on the sidebar, but my hair being that flat...only really happened for that picture. (Which was pre-short haircut. I cheat when it comes to recent pictures for profiles.) Haha. It tends to poof. So when I chopped it to chin length I looked like a mushroom. : P So I've been toying with cutting it like Ella Chen of S.H.E.. She still manages to look quite girly on many occasions, but her hairstyle is one of those you could roll out of bed or let air dry and still look pretty much the same. Heh. I dream of such a style. I'm scared to cut it off that short, though. Especially without Ryan here to give his opinion. I've had it close to that short before, but I was never brave enough to cut it in a way that I would have to have it tucked behind my ears in a boyish fashion. But a bob just doesn't do it for me anymore, and I'm too lazy and easily frustrated to keep my thick, coarse hair long. So does anyone think I can pull this off? Or am I just dreaming?

Got another letter from Ryan. Seems to be doing pretty well and is eager for my letters as always. But I send them everyday so I'm glad I can be of some comfort to him. I'm counting down the days until we are together again. I miss him a lot. *sigh* As they say, it will be here before I know it.

P.S. Tomorrow's Astronomy final exam = my demise.

Asian Drama Euphoria

I got a letter from Ryan yesterday! Well, technically it would have been the day before yesterday. Seeing as it's after midnight, and today is now Sunday. -_-;; Me and my weirdo sleeping habits. Anywho, he seems to be really busy, and apparently he's been a squad leader since Receiving. He didn't want to jinx it by telling me before because they are hired and fired on a dime, and he wanted to see if he could keep it. He could still lose it any day. Basically he gets punished a lot for other people and spends his free time chasing people down so that's why he doesn't get to write very often. I feel pretty loved because apparently his mother hasn't gotten anymore letters since her first one, and I've gotten several.

I'm getting somewhere on packing...I think. I still feel like I have so much more to do. Sadly it's mostly stuff I'm going to have to unpack as soon as I get settled into my room at my grandparents' in G-Vegas. Ugh. I've already packed most of the electronics, knick knacks, etc. that will be staying packed away until Ryan and I move to his first duty station. Most of what is left includes clothing and shoes, hair and make-up stuffs, girly bathroom items, and hobby stuff I'll want to mess with while I'm in Greeneville. Though I haven't packed any of my kitchen stuff yet. My mom is going to bring a bunch of newspaper and more boxes to help with that next weekend. Craziness.

I've already finished Why Why Love. It was pretty awesome although the last few episodes made me really sad. T_T Now I'm watching the Taiwanese version of Hana Kimi. A classmate recommended the Japanese version to me, but I only got halfway through the first episode and couldn't take anymore. Haha. Maybe I'll go back and watch it afterward. But I think I'm just used to watching dramas in Mandarin right now since my previous two both took place in Taiwan. It felt weird watching something in Japanese after that. Heh. Not to mention Jiro Wang is in this one! : D I love him to pieces. He was awesome in It Started with a Kiss 1 & 2 even if he was just the other boy who got shafted when the male lead stepped up. Haha. He's adorable, though. For reallies.

Out of Whack

My sleeping and eating schedule is all messed up right now. Heh. -_-;; I don't know which way is up anymore. The only part of the day I have down to a routine is the three or fours hours I have to be at work in the afternoons. The rest of the time I laze around on the couch or in bed watching Asian dramas and muching on PB&J sandwhiches or crackers accompanied by extensive amounts of Coke Zero. Geez. I'm depressing myself just thinking about my lack of enthusiam pertaining to life in general on a day to day basis right now. I'm just here. Haha. But I'm not down or anything. In reality I'm quite content. But it'll be good for me to get to Greeneville and have regular meals and sleep more regularly instead of staying up all night and sleeping until noon.

I recently ordered a couple of panda bows from 2 Lil' Angels Boutique, and they came in the mail today! : D I attempted to take a picture of one in my hair. Heh. I'm off to study for my Sociology final at 8AM...and watch more Asian dramas!
